Drove by there this evening and took a look at the school.

How on earth could you pass up something like that to look at the eyesores that are AHS, SPHS, or PHS?

Yeah did you notice that its surrounded by highwalls, the back is built on the edge of a cliff, and that cliff is crumbling.

Beautiful location for a school. The drive up to the school is something else.

Sadly, thanks to those stuck in a time warp, Wise Co. will never see something similar.

How do you think they got the location they had to clear the land and thus hello high walls.

Someone from Pound can't say shite about the surroundings at another school.

Being from Appy myself, I really don't think Appy High is that much of an eyesore to look at as you drive by. By the same token, there's a lot wrong on the inside that could use improvement.

Have you saw LCCHS Mik_Mo? Nothing in Wise County compares.

Sounds like Pound.
Highwalls? Check.
Built on ledge of cliff? Check.
Solid ground? nope - got plenty of erosion over the years (which is why the kudzu was introduced - to try to hold it back).

Yes I have seen LCCHS on several occasions. If you'll read my post, you would see that I'm not comparing the two schools. I was just stating that Appy is not that much of an eyesore to the local surroundings as Bob makes it out to be.

No, it really fits right in.....

The crumbling high wall issues can be repaired and won't affect the school....Wake up people and see what we can do for the school system in Wise County.....

Oh well, probably not in my time, or even in any of yours either...sad but true.
